Privacy Policy

Basic Policy

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as “the Center”) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and will strive to properly handle personal information (as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information) under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”) and other related laws and ordinances.

Acquisition Method

The Center will acquire personal information through lawful and fair means.

Purpose of Use

The Center will use personal information for the following purposes:

(1) The purpose of use the Center have specified when acquiring the personal information;
(2) The purpose to provide information about which the Center will carry out the business and the like and to send publications and e-mail newsletters, etc.; and/or
(3) Other purposes related to each of the preceding purposes.

Proper Management of Personal Information

The Center will appoint a chief administrator responsible for the safe and proper management of personal information and will take the appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized access to personal information and the loss of personal information, etc.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

(1) The Center will never disclose your personal information to any third party without your prior approval except as provided by laws and ordinances.
(2) The Center may entrust the handling of personal information to a third party contractor within the scope necessary in order to achieve the purpose of use. In this case, the Center will conclude an agreement on the proper handling of personal information with the contractor and appropriately supervise the contractor’s handling of personal information.

Update and Deletion of Personal Information, etc.

If your personal information is inaccurate, or changed, the Center will update or delete such inaccurate and outdated personal information based on your request.
